James Sclater is a Registered Psychologist with consulting experience spanning corporate, government, trade and academic environments, working with frontline staff to executive leaders. Currently a Senior Consultant Psychologist with Communicorp, his role involves providing specialist psychological services to assist individuals, teams, and organisations to create psychologically safe and healthy workplaces.

James’ research dissertation focused on psychological capital and performance in uncertain work environments. As such, he has a particular interest in understanding and applying positive psychology principles to support organisations and their people to overcome their unique challenges and achieve their goals. James has significant experience in workshop facilitation, leadership coaching and development, psychosocial risk identification and management, career coaching, psychometrics, talent acquisition, research and data analytics.  He is adept in large scale organisational diagnostics and uses these tools to consult and shape strategic objectives and vision.

James has significant experience in the education section, delivering a state-wide teacher and school-based staff wellbeing diagnostic and intervention program for a large government education organisation. His experience expands well beyond this, working closely with a range of organisations to provide specialist advice on current best practice and designing and implementing solutions to support business objectives.
